Animal Nutrition Technical Sales Manager
Our client, an international innovative animal nutrition / feed additives firm, seeks a Technical Sales Manager. Contributing to business development with sales as part of the NL team, the ideal candidate for this position has both an excellent commercial orientation/personality, including superb interpersonal skills, and solid technical knowledge in Animal Nutrition – especially swine & poultry. The candidate should know the Dutch market very well, have well-developed business network throughout the country, and derive satisfaction from productive client meetings. Knowledge of feed mills, premix companies and other B2B clients is highly valued.
This position is to be worked from a home-based office when not engaged in business travel
Candidate Requirements:
▪ BSc or MSc degree in Animal Nutrition, Animal/Life Sciences, Agriculture, or a DVM
▪ At least 5 years’ Technical SALES experience in Feed/ Feed Additives/ Animal Nutrition industry with documented success in the Dutch feed/ animal nutrition industry.
▪ Knowledge of technical sales experience with feed mills, premix companies and other B2F clients, as well as big swine and poultry farms (home mixers) is highly valued.
▪ Solid technical background in Animal Nutrition / Feed and industry knowledge
▪ Swine & Poultry Nutrition knowledge and experience are highly-valued
▪ Dutch: Native-speaker fluency required orally and in written form; English: Professional fluency required orally and in written form
▪ Working knowledge of MS Office programs

Position Responsibilities:
➢ Be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing commercial activities for
monogastric market together with NL Country Manager
➢ Support the firm’s business development with well-founded technical advice and
deliver on sales targets sales driving sales’ growth
➢ Organize, conduct, and support field trials
➢ Monitor and advise existing customers and potential customers from premix, mineral
and compound feed industry
➢ Provide technical support and practical advice for the implementation of new,
innovative feeding concepts to compound feed companies and other clients
➢ Build, develop and maintain strong commercial relationships, establishing and
maintaining relationships with clients, manage a portfolio of clients
➢ Prospect to gain new customers and recapture any former customers
➢ Communicate well orally and in writing: submit comprehensible paperwork/reports in
a timely manner /provide regular sales reports as needed
➢ Give input to the NL Country Manager to forecast future sales /demand, plan and
contribute to the budgeting process
➢ Develop promotional activities together with NL Country Manager and the Marketing
Team, giving input on products and marketing ideas
➢ Gather and share market information
➢ Collaborate with colleagues, other departments, the International Team
